When creating STUDY NOTES for a test, here are some options:
1. Notes
- these can take the form of an outline, a web/mind map, visual notes, Q&A...
- Oxford Learning has some good tips for taking notes
- These can be done by hand or digitally
2. Flash Cards
- Can contain words and/or pictures
- one card per key term, person, place...
- use these to quiz your friends
- These can be done by hand or created digitally (Quizlet, Brainscape, Kahoot...)
Tips from Ms. Dow:
1. Most importantly, you want to CREATE something with the class material that will help you remember it!
2. START EARLY - even though you don't need to hand these in until test day, start early as they will be very helpful for your quizzes too.
3. REVIEW OFTEN! I try not to give you too much homeword - review is what you should be focusing on at home!
